The full line-up.
The butters, the oils, the scent. Here is what goes into Bonafide and what each ingredient brings to the formula.
01Shea butter+
The rich base. Shea butter is an emollient: a butter used to soften and condition skin. Alongside cocoa, it forms the base of Bonafide.
02Cocoa butter+
Structure and richness. Derived from cacao beans, cocoa butter contributes structure and richness to the blend, with a skin-conditioning role of its own.
03Aloe butter blend+
A blend within the blend. Our aloe butter contains three components.
Aloe leaf extract
The skin-conditioning botanical in the blend.
Coconut oil
An emollient oil that helps condition skin and carries the aloe extract.
Vitamin E · Tocopherol
An antioxidant used to help protect the oils from oxidation.
04Argan oil+
A conditioning oil. Pressed from argan kernels, this oil is used in body care for its emollient properties and the soft, supple feel it contributes.
05Avocado oil+
Richness from the fruit. Avocado oil comes from the fruit’s flesh. It is part of our conditioning oil blend, contributing to the feel of the formula on skin.
06Apricot kernel oil+
From the kernel. An emollient oil from apricot kernels, used to soften and condition skin. One of the named oils in our mix.
07Castor oil+
A richer consistency. Castor seed oil is a thick, conditioning oil. It contributes its own texture to the butter-and-oil blend.
08Ylang ylang oil+
The floral note. Ylang ylang flower oil gives the formula its floral fragrance. This is a scented body butter.
